D20 Loot Tracker has grown significantly. What started as a simple shared inventory tool now has DM prep features, spoiler protection, equipment slots, and system-specific tracking. Here's the full breakdown.
DM Tab & Hoard System
Major Feature
The biggest addition: a dedicated prep area for Dungeon Masters. The DM Tab is invisible to players and gives you tools to prepare session loot in advance.
Create Hoards
Pre-built loot collections for encounters. Name them "Goblin Cave Room 3" or "Boss Fight Treasure" and populate them before your session.
One-Click Distribution
When players find the treasure, click "Move to Incoming" and everything transfers instantly. No more mid-session item lookups.
Full API Search
Search the D&D 5e SRD or Pathfinder databases directly. Item data auto-populates—no manual entry needed.
Bulk Adding
Add 1-10 of the same item at once. Perfect for consumables, ammunition, or identical treasure.
Unidentified Items
DM Secrecy Feature
Create items with fake display names that hide their true identity from players.
How It Works
- • When adding an item, check "Unidentified" and enter a fake name
- • Players see "Rusty Sword" while you see "Flame Tongue"
- • Click "Reveal" when they identify it—the name changes for everyone
- • Perfect for cursed items, mystery loot, or plot-relevant treasure
Hide/Reveal Toggle
Spoiler Protection
Separate from unidentified items, Hide/Reveal lets you temporarily blur any item from player view.
Hidden State
- • Item appears blurred to players
- • All details hidden (name, value, stats)
- • DM sees everything normally
- • Toggle with eye icon
Revealed State
- • Full item details visible
- • Auto-reveals when assigned to a player
- • Manual reveal option available
- • State persists in database
Use case: Hide incoming loot until you're ready to describe it narratively, then reveal items one by one.

Track what's worn vs. carried with system-specific equipment slots.

Tags persist when items move between hoards, incoming loot, and player inventories.
